from having her feet measured to having a day off sick

We had a busy week last week.

On Monday we had Tumble Tots but because James doesnt like killing time we got Evies feet measured first in Mothercare World (as they have a branch of Clarks shoes in there) her feet still havent grown...

On Tuesday we took Evie to a softplay place with James Mum & Dad too.

On Wednesday Evie had pre school, we had a sneaky coffee and a look around the shops while she was there ;o)

On Thursday we decided to go to Tropical Wings...

The day started off with Evie having diarrhea, so I told James and he said that he wanted to go anyway!

Evie had a great time she even got to hold a stick insect ;o)  I did a video of it on my phone but cant seem to upload it onto flickr :o(

The couple of times that I took evie to the toilet she was having leaky drips from her bottom - I told James as I knew that they were building upto something horrible...

We had lunch there and we got Evie chips and garlic bread all wasa going well until Evie threw up.

She was ok after and even wanted to finish her chips and then had a magnum ice cream bar too!

We then headed home but because the road leading to our road was being resurfaced we werent allowed back so we headed to a retail park for a coffee...

...James stayed sulking in the car and I took Evie in for a coffee.

They even had chocolate muffin samples so I took one each for me & Evie ;o)

I took Evie to the toilet again and again she had a drip come out.

About 5 minutes later I noticed that Evies leggings were soaked where the leak had come to its conclusion!

So I rushed Evie out and got her changing bag and took her back into Mothercare to get her cleaned up.

Because it was all watery it wasnt too bad but the leggings and knickers were too mucky to save :o(.

We put Evie in a nappy when we got home and she had a soft poop but other than that she was ok and kept down her dinner too.

Evie was supposed to go to pre school on Friday but we kept her off so she didnt pass on her bug to anyone else.

We went to Lakeside instead ;o)

They had massive decorated birdhouses there

We hired a car for Evie ;o)

Wolverhampton?

Yesterday I was looking at the built in news & weather app on my phone and saw that for my location it said Wolverhampton!

And when I looked (much later) on at the BBC weather app that said that I was in Wolverhampton too - I wouldnt mind but I havent been out of Essex for ages.

apparently I was in Wolverhampton yesterday!

On Friday me & Evie went to Hyde Hall with some of the other Mums.

We had a fantastic time...

Evie (well I made the plant pot out of newspaper) but Evie put the soil in and the lady put some coriander seeds in and Evie put the soil on the top and happily carried t around with her until she ate her lunch ;o)

very proud of her plant pot

She had her lunch and was then playing in the tree house there ;o)

Evie about to do a jump in the tree house

We then looked around the craft fair there and I bought a few things

The first thing I bought was a snail from Wood Like to Play

a christmas or birthday present for Evie

then I bought some passion fruit curd from the Victorian Kitchen

I had some on my crumpet this morning

and finally I bought Evie a little bag ;o)

a little bag that Evie chose

a fun time was had

We got to Hylands Park for the 3 foot festival about half an hour before it opened so we had to queue...

Once we got in James Mum & Dad (who we went with) wanted to get a coffee so I let Evie play some football ;o)

Evie picking up a football so that she can throw it

We went into one of the dancing tents ;o)

head shoulders knees & toes knees & toes

One of the tents were letting children colour in face masks ;o)  Evie chose a pirate one ;o)

she chose this instead of the princess one

Evie couldnt quite get the grasp of putting your head through a hole ;o)

I am not going to put my head through that hole

so she ended up sitting in front ;o)

I would rather sit in front if you dont mind

Evie wouldnt have her picture taken with the bear

Evie wouldnt have her photo taken with him

I couldnt find any of these places (and they werent in the guide book either ;o))

couldnt find these places anywhere

I searched high and low for them

I was devestated that I couldnt find the chocolate pond

the kids werent allowed to climb on this

why have this at a childrens festival if they cant climb on it

Evie enjoying her nannies ice cream ;o)

enjoying an ice cream

and Evie was too tired to play on this by the end of the day

I should have let her have a play when she had the energy

good friday

For the past few years (well ever since I realised that the parking was free on Southend seafront on Good Friday) we have gone to Southend on Good Friday.

Evie had a great time and walked all the way to the bottom (or rather top) of the promenade ;o)

Se had a ride on the Bob The builder kiddie ride ;o)

and we even sat on the sea wall and shared a portion of chips together ;o)

Here are some flower arrangements that they had on the promenade

gruffalo good fun

Me & Evie had a great time at the gruffalo trail on Friday ;o)

As it was lunchtime by the time we got there we headed first for the picnic area ;o)

In the picnic area there was a carving of a squirrel....

and here it is from the side where you can see him in his rodent greatness ;o)

we followed the trail

Evie was getting tired by the end of the trail and wanted to get in the buggy

going on a gruffalo picnic

Me & the other Mums are going on a picnic today at the Gruffalo Woods in Thorndon Country Park ;o)

As I was intending to take Evie to her swimming lessons yesterday I got James to get me & Evie some lunch for me to take with us ;o)  The things he got for Evie is stuff that she had gone off when she last had it a few weeks ago - but whenever I say stuff like that to him he accuses me of being negative!

I have also heated up some sweetcorn fritters to take as I know that Evie will eat those ;o)  And I shall take some monster munch and some blueberries also ;o)

I also bought Evie a pair of wellies on Wednesday for the purpose of today and for when we go to the 3 foot people festival they are a size 5 and her feet are 4 1/2 at the moment so they will still be the right size ;o)

What we did on Thursday

On Thursday we had an another eye appointment for Evie...

...Evie was not a happy bunny while we were in there - she started to cry and James took her over to the mirror (that always cheers her up) so that she could look at her reflection ;o)

Anyway Evie is still long sighted and the lady said that it looks like she will have my eyes (poor thing)!

As James had taken the day off we were deciding what to do...

...I suggested Hylands Park so that we could go to the Adventure Castle Play Area but the area it is shut because of the V Festival! :o(

So we ended up going to Krazy Kids - Evie enjoyed herself ;o)

And then we went on to Freeport and we saw some more giraffes ;o)

We even had lunch at Chimichangas ;o)
