...help evie get dressed after her bath and her knickers are still on skew wiff :)
despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

dressing herself
I was just about to do the washing up after doing our breakfast and Evie said she wanted me to get her coat down.
So I watched her start to put her coat on and noticed that she was doing it the wrong way around, so I went and grabbed my camera* ;o)
*parts of this photo may have been recreated due to coat being taken off by the time Mummy got her camera out! ;o)

loving her feet
Yesterday Evie was lying on our bed while I was getting dressed...
...I could see out of the corner of my eye that she was pulling at her right sock, and next thing I knew that she had a huge smile on her face and had pulled her sock right off ;o)
We went into town to go to the library and on the way back she pulled her sock off again and was playing with her toes ;o)

the sock drawer abyss
James is always moaning that my sock drawer wont shut properly because it is crammed with socks!
So this morning I decided to have a clear out of all of the socks that are now unwearable (ie ones with holes or are threadbare).
I managed to clear out about a third of them, I also found a whole load of tights and stockings or rather pantyhose to my US friends ;o)
I will go through those another day I think...
...hee hee now Im going to have a look at replacing all of the socks that I threw out ;o)

Time for a new coat me thinks
Last night on my way home from work there was a lady on the train and she decided to share with the carriage that the temperature in Chelmsford was 7 degrees Celsius (yes I know to my friends in cold countries that that temperature is a walk in the park but bear with me) and in Malaysia (where she is from) it is 37 degrees Celsius.
I think weatherwise I would prefer to be in Malaysia at the moment ;o)
So last night I dug my big coat out to see if on the offchance that it would still fit me? The answer to that is a big fat no!
I could do up my coat as far as my boobs but nothing further down than that :o(
I have heard that I will double in size during the last four weeks and as it is going to be during December then it does make sense to splash the cash and buy a Maternity Coat.
Anyhow I have a 10% off voucher that is good until Sunday in Mothercare so I will see what they have in store otherwise I will order something online.
In Metro today I saw that the new presenter of Countdown will be Nick Hewer I think that he will be really good and will be something to watch with littlun to get her brain working from an early age ;o)

a throw back to the 80's
I was sitting (with my eyes closed) on the train this morning.
The train pulled in to Shenfield Station I opened my eyes and saw a lady (must have been in her early to mid 20's) and she was wearing a mint green jacket and she had her cuffs folded so you could see the lining.
I think that she must have been watching too much Miami Vice ;o)

my other button came off
The trousers that I am wearing today should have 2 buttons to do them up...
...a few months ago one of the buttons came off (I think that I put it in my handbag somewhere - but I am not entirely sure), this morning the other button came off - it came off just after I went to the toilet!
I am completely useless at sewing buttons back on so will get James to do that for me tonight ;o)

...and I havent bothered changing it around (because no-one will see it) ;o)

tights over anklet
I was sitting on the train and a lady gets on (must have been in her 20s) and I was glancing around (like you do) and I spotted that she had an anklet on under her tights!
I myself would be worried about my tights getting snagged...

I shouldnt be dressing myself
When I get dressed in the mornings I am usually half asleep...
...yesterday morning was no exception.
I got dressed, had my breakfast of a cup of tea and a banana and went to work. Because its cold at work I put my cardigan on.
At lunchtime I took my cardigan off and put my fleece on to go out to get some lunch (a soup from Pret a Manger and mango fingers from Sainsburys).
I came back from lunch taking my fleece back off (and not putting my cardigan back on because I had warmed up).
I went down to get the mail going into the toilets first, looked in the mirror (this is not something I do very often ;o)), and shock horror I saw that my top was on inside out! INSIDE OUT! I rushed back into the cubicle to put my top back on properly.
I came back with the mail, and phew, nothing was said as clearly nobody was any the wiser!
All I can say is thank goodness it was cold and I was wearing my cardigan throughout the morning, and that it is Winter, as I wouldnt have been wearing a coat and fleece and people would have seen that I cant dress myself ;o)
Yes I have checked, double checked, triple checked and quadruple checked that what Im wearing today is on the right way around ;o)
Happy pancake day ;o)
