Some days I have nothing and today I have 3 things :)
Yesterday was Evies Christmas play it went well and was based around strictly come dancing with one of the judges Ceasar being based on Craig :)
Evie said she enjoyed it and she did all of the singing and dancing so that was good :)
I am going in to school today and because I ticked the all day box I have to go in all day (her teacher even told me to bring in my lunch).
I dont think I mentioned but a couple of Evies birthday party invites went to the wrong children, one of them got passed on to the right child and one didnt...
Luckily after I found out I texted all of the Mums to find out that they got the invite and only one other didnt.
I then get a text this morning from a Mum that I invited last year (but didnt get a reply from) the child does have the same name but a different spelling, perhaps she didnt realise that there were two girls with that name, saying that her daughter can come :) I replied back and saud that Evie will be pleased :)
despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

yipee
Yesterday I as in town and I got a phone call...
caller: hello is that Clare?
me: no, its Amber (thinking that they may want to speak to me anyway)
caller: oh ok sorry about that..
five minutes later...
caller: hello is that Amber?
me: yes
caller: oh sorry about earlier your number came up on our system first, congratulations we want you to come in for an interview :)
The only time they could make it was just before I am supposed to be having my HR phone call so I have pushed that forward an hour, and that means then that I can head to my interview after I have finished the phone call :)
Then last night while Evie was reading her book, I got another pone call :)
Offering me a job that I went to interview #15 for :)
I told the guy that I have an interview today anyway (as it is the same company that I have the interview today for)..
James had the cheek to say that it means that he cant do anything on a Sunday now so I pointed out that this job means no childcare costs :)
I have to go in on Thursday and fill in the registration bits, I have already put together the bits that I need to bring with me, I will then find out my starting date :)
There are lots of pros to the job like no childcare costs, and I can still go to things like book look and sports day, christmas show and school trips (if they chose me to be a helper) without having to use up holiday :)
The only con is that I cant watch her tap dancing lesson during watching week (and there are only 2 of those a year) and James will video it anyway :)

Evie confusion
Yesterday at the end of Tumble Tots they were doing the birthdays and they asked Evie to stand up...
...so my Evie stood up and one of the ladies asked her if it was her birthday and she said "yes" so they gave her a card and a sticker, I was just about to shout "its the wrong Evie" when the lady running it said that it was the wrong one.
So they asked Evie for the card and sticker back (why they couldnt have written a new card and got out another sticker is beyond me).
when Evie came running back I could see that she was upset,,,
...so on our way home we went via Asda and Evie chose a card to replace the one that they wanted back.
While we were in there I treated myself to a marmite Easter egg ;o) and Evie chose a milkybar barnyard egg and we treated James to a lion egg to get the 3 for £10 offer ;o)

plausible and really
Evie was at her swimming lesson yesterday, and just as her lesson was coming to an end an older man sat next to me (I had remembered him from the week earlier as he mentioned that it was his first week of going with his grandson), so I said to him "oh your here with your grandson" and then asked him if he had enjoyed it the week earlier and he had said that he had.
I then said (just to make conversation) that my one (being Evie) was in the pool with the pink swimming costume on and the bloke said to me "your son and grand-daughter" (stop laughing Mum I know you are doing it).
I then (without screaming Im pleased to say) said to him that it was my daughter, and as he was apologising I said "its ok as Im an older Mum" and then to add insult to injury he said "and I bet its not the first time either" I wanted to tell him that it was but I stopped myself ;o)
Ok I admit that being 45 I could be Evies grandmother, but James' Mum - I dont think so...
...I was then wracking my brain to think what the other little girls were wearing and if they were in the pool with their Dads and how young they were!
The only one that I definitely remember having a pink swimming costume was a girl with her bearded Dad and he definitely didnt look young enough to be my Son.
James wasnt much help when I told him what had happened, he just said through hysterics that the man was probably talking about someone else!

should James be flattered or furious?
James went to lunch yesterday with one of his workmates and they were looking at the community projects in the atrium outside Chelmsford Library (where the Registry Office happens to be too), and the Registrar pops out and asks "Are you the wedding party?" to which James said "I have affection for him but Im not marrying him" to which the Registrar laughed ;o) He should never have worn that pink shirt and rainbow tie combo ;o)
Since losing all of his weight James is always asking "do I look gay?" to which I normally say "dont worry you dont look neat enough" ;o) I do love backhanded compliments...
I guess this weekend we will be looking for some butch clothing for him ;o)

caller "hello is that Amber?"
me "yes"
caller "I have your lunch downstairs"
me "you have my lunch downstairs?"
caller "yes - you are Amber arent you"
me "yes"
caller "I think I have the wrong Amber - you dont sound like my daughter"
me "yes there is an Amba next door"
caller "yes I want the Amba next door - but if you were my daughter then I would have bought you lunch"
me "you can buy me lunch tomorrow if you like ;o)"
How funny was that?

Im clearly not Jo material
Yesterday I went upto Oxford Street to buy a present for a friends son.
As I have a few trips where I am going to have to use the underground I thought that I would bite the bullet and buy an Oyster Card. I had to pay a £3.00 deposit but it will save me some money (must remember to look at setting up the auto top up ;o)).
Whilst I was in Oxford Street I thought I might as well look at some dresses for the cruise, I managed to buy three this, this and this ;o) It was a good job that I was on my own because I ended up going into the changing rooms three times, (it would have done James head in ;o)).
After eventually buying my dresses I then got some lunch and ate it by Marble Arch, I was sitting there and a bloke (in his late twenties I would say) went upto a lady (on her own reading through reports by the looks of it, she was also in her late twenties) and said to her "your not Jo are you?" to which she said no. He didnt ask me - now I know that Im not Jo BUT I COULD HAVE BEEN!
