Yesterday when I was helping in Evies class they were doing days of the week as their maths :)
first they sang the days of the week song (I cannot find the right version but it goes to the tune of the Adamms Family theme tune :))
the kids were then asked to stick the days on their work sheet in the correct order and were asked some questions such as
what day is outdoor PE?
what day is singing assembly?
what day is indoor PE?
which days do you not go to school?
which day is achievement assembly?
what day do they do computing?
At least I learnt what they get upto in class each week :)
I had to file away work they had done on symbols too Evies one had two on one for hairdressers and the other one was Barcelona Football Club!
I asked Evie later why she picked them and she said it was because they were on the whiteboard.
Phew I was worried that she was going to get into football :)
despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

I thought it would have been busier
I went to Sainsburys this morning to do the food shopping, I was all set up for it to be packed in there because England is playing Japan this afternoon - surprisingly it wasnt busy at all - it was far busier in there last Sunday (I still cant think why!).
James has been saying for ages that he is surprised that they havent been filming Coronation Street in HD, and sure enough it will be showing in HD from Monday just in time for Gails trial ;o).
The World Cup hasnt even started yet, but all of the stores here are selling "products" to help you support England...
I must say I have got sucked in with all of the patriotism ;o) I was in Sainsburys and bought some knickers (they made me smile), here I am sporting them Superman stylee ;o).
They arent the tackiest ones that I have seen, and yes I will be wearing them - but I wont be watching the football!

I have seen loads of stores offering the likes of free tvs and laptops (you buy it first then get your money back in the (unlikely) event of England winning), I thought that this was purely a UK thing (as England hasnt won in like ages), but surprisingly enough we saw similar adverts in Paris!
