I was sitting there licking my wounds yesterday afternoon (we hadnt gone out as it was still raining and Evie is still a bit snotty from her cold) and the doorbell rang...
...so I scooped Evie up to go to the front door (she would have followed mew out anyway) and the postman handed me the post and then said that he had a package for me...
...as soon as I saw the box I squealed that it was my Easter Egg ;o)
We then laughed that on the box it said "will fit through most letter boxes".
So I grabbed hold of my package and have it hidden away until Easter ;o)
despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

rain has stopped play
I have just rang the Virgin balloon flight line and because of unsettled weather the trip has been cancelled.
I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed and a bit relieved all at the same time...
Oh well now to decide who to ask to go with me next time ;o)

balloon day
Today (providing the weather is nice) is my Virgin Hot Air Balloon ride day ;o)
What is scaring me most is the landing (and me forgetting what I am supposed to do).
But I have looked at some photos and the people didnt look distressed and they had smiles on their faces...
...ok I know that they arent going to show pictures of a person puking their guts up but still.
I will be calling the flight line just after 12 to see if it is still going ahead...
...I shall keep you posted ;o)

still going
Poor James has a fear of heights so I was well surprised when his brother and sister in law bought us the balloon ride I asked James if he thought that he would be ok doing it and he said that his fear had gone.
So I booked our trip again asking him before I did it and he said yes he will be ok.
Yesterday he then says that no he isnt ok doing it and doesnt think that he can brave it out.
So I will be doing the trip on my own but if it gets cancelled I will do it with a friend...

not so much teething
With the snot coming out of Evies nose (I know too much information) I have now ascertained that the crying last night may not have all been teething related :o(
We are not going out today...
...and I hope that I dont get it or if I do that it is gone by Thursday next week as that is when we have our balloon trip.

booking up up and away
For our birthdays a couple of years ago James brother bought us a Virgin Balloon flight.
I was set to book it last year in the summer but then found out that I was pregnant, so I contacted Virgin and they told me that the tickets would be extended to expire nine months after my due date.
The tickets were extended until 8th October, and as I wanted to leave booking the flights until as late as possible I asked Virgin at the end of September that if they had any flights for next year. I was told that the 2013 flights come out in October (but they couldnt say when), but if I wanted to extend the expiry date by four months it would cost us £20 (for both tickets).
As the dates for Essex come out on Fridays at 3 pm (on the Friday before our tickets expired) I was online and ready to book but no new dates appeared. So I rang Virgin on the Saturday and they said that no dates had been released for Essex so I was going to have to extend our tickets (which is what I did).
So last Sunday I checked to see what was available and the date that had already been released had been fully booked!
Oh no!
Was this my one and only chance before the tickets expired again?
No of course it wouldnt be!
So after forgetting to check on Friday (after e-mailing my Sister-in-Law to let her know ideas for presents for Evie) I checked yesterday and have been able to book a date for March next year ;o)
