diet police

In my local Starbucks you can now (if you so wish) order your drink/food through the app :)

So yesterday I went into town to get an incentive present for Evie.

So I went into town after getting the doll (she has to go a whole 4 weeks of having dry nights to get it), and walked into the coffee shop, found a seat and sat down.

I got my phone out, made sure I was connected to wi-fi, opened the starbucks app.

selected order, found the drink I wanted (a butterscotch brulee latte) and it would only let me get a medium sized drink as the largest size, but I wanted a large one!

So I went upto the counter and asked why it would only let me order a medium one and they said that it was because of the calories in a large size and they cant be seen to be promoting something that calorific.

But I always order it with only 2 pumps of syrup anyway, so my version isnt too calorific anyway.

So I had to order it the normal way, perhaps next time I will have a medium one just so I can order it on my phone, or instead go for a large sugarfree latte.

Yes thats what I will do...

...a large sugarfree caramel skinny latte through the app :)

the end of her good run

I knew that I shouldnt get too excited about Evies 15 night run of dry nights...

...both Tuesday morning and this morning I have had to change her bedding - yesterday I had to do a wash as even her duvet needed washing.

LOL I even did her a wow star about it :)

seven plus seven nights and book look

After Evies successful seven dry nights, I said to her lets see if you can do eight dry nights, and she said I dont want to do eight , so I suggested seven plus one and that was acceptable :)

So this morning when I woke Evie up I said to her shall we see if you have done seven plus seven nights and she said yes, so we went to the toilet and yay the nappy was dry, so tonight she can sleep in knickers :)

Yesterday Evies school had their book look (giving us parents a chance to see what work they have been doing) :).

It was really good seeing all of the stuff she has been doing :)

And in the scale that they use to judge how well they are doing there were "high" and "good" so that was encouraging :)

seven nights

Ever since wee put Evie back in nappies at night I have been promising her a present if she can have seven dry nights in a row.

The most she has normally done is five nights, but this week she has done really well and has had seven dry nights :)

If she can stay dry for another seven nights then we will leave the pull-ups off :)

nightie nickers

As up until a few weeks ago Evie was dry at night, so after our holiday we decided to let Evie just sleep in her knickers and not a pull up nappy.

It was all going well with her having dry nights and even waking up to say that she needed to go.

In the last few weeks she has started not waking up when she needs to go and just sleeping through.

So yesterday I asked her how she would feel if we put a nappy on her to go to sleep in and she said she didnt want to as they were for babies and she is a big girl.

So we showed her the packet how it says "pyjama pants" then I said to her but you dont wear pyjamas so perhaps we should call them "nightie knickers" :)

So that is what she wore last night to go to sleep in :)

This morning when she woke up she had gone in the night, so at least that saves me having to do a load today...

exchanging duplicates

Evie has got into lalaloopsy tiny dolls mainly down to me seeing them in the penny sale (buy one full price and get one for a penny) in The Enterntainer - I thought that they could go in her treat box ;o)

On Friday James came home from work saying that he got four more packs of lalaloopsy tinies to make use of the penny sale ;o)

He then said all excitedly that he got one with a pirate and a mermaid (I then told him that I got one like that too but they might be different) having looked at the four packets he had got three of them were duplicates, but saying that Evie did lose one of the dolls (the pink one) in Sainsburys (so we will keep that packet).

Evie Miller

Yesterday we were in town and saw in The Meadows Marriages had a Milling around the Meadows exhibition ;o)

So Evie had a go and this is what she had milled ;o)

as milled by Evie
We also had a coffee while we were in town, and Evie was playing with her new handbag (a present for not doing any poops in her knickers for a week).

Frost T Fridge and Wanda Wafer

This morning we noticed that one of the packets was tearing open on her shopkins basket, so I again asked Evie if she wanted to open them now and she said "yes please"...

...so I asked her if she wanted to open them and she said "Mummy do it" so I opened them but let her pull them out ;o)

she wont open the packets

After the last couple of days Evie did a poop on the toilet again ;o)

So she was able to chose another treat from her treat box...

...she chose the shopkins basket ;o)

So James opened it with her...

...he took off the plastic and cardboard wrappers....

...and inside are 2 little yellow bags and the shopping list ;o)

basket and the shopkins with part of the list

but she wont open them!

I think that me & James wants to know what are in the packets more than Evie does ;o)

well that didnt last long

After the success of the weekend and Evie doing poops in the toilet I stupidly thought that we had turned a corner...

...but no on Monday and today she has gone back to pooping in her knickers!

She knows that she is supposed to do them in the toilet and when I ask her why she didnt tell me she says that she was "a little bit busy" *sigh*.

Oh well she will get it in the end ;o)

Lollipop

After Evies nap yesterday (she still has them most days) she went to the toilet and I was in her bedroom getting a bag for her nappy...

...so I came back in and asked her if she had been and she said that she had done a poop ;o)

So she chose a treat from her treat box ;o)

treat box

Evie has hardly any wee accidents but pooping wise she is still doing them in her knickers...

So we trawled the net for some ideas and James found a suggestion on Mumsnet to have a treat box in the bathroom...

...so on Wednesday I looked through our plastic boxes and found a cheap lunchbox that James had gotten for Evie and I thought that would be perfect.

So we bought a few small things to put in there and it now has pride and place on the bathroom windowsill...

...Everytime Evie goes to the toilet she keeps asking for a treat from the treat box but we keep on telling her that she can only have one if she does a poop in the toilet or potty and not in her knickers ;o)

from having her feet measured to having a day off sick

We had a busy week last week.

On Monday we had Tumble Tots but because James doesnt like killing time we got Evies feet measured first in Mothercare World (as they have a branch of Clarks shoes in there) her feet still havent grown...

On Tuesday we took Evie to a softplay place with James Mum & Dad too.

On Wednesday Evie had pre school, we had a sneaky coffee and a look around the shops while she was there ;o)

On Thursday we decided to go to Tropical Wings...

The day started off with Evie having diarrhea, so I told James and he said that he wanted to go anyway!

Evie had a great time she even got to hold a stick insect ;o)  I did a video of it on my phone but cant seem to upload it onto flickr :o(

The couple of times that I took evie to the toilet she was having leaky drips from her bottom - I told James as I knew that they were building upto something horrible...

We had lunch there and we got Evie chips and garlic bread all wasa going well until Evie threw up.

She was ok after and even wanted to finish her chips and then had a magnum ice cream bar too!

We then headed home but because the road leading to our road was being resurfaced we werent allowed back so we headed to a retail park for a coffee...

...James stayed sulking in the car and I took Evie in for a coffee.

They even had chocolate muffin samples so I took one each for me & Evie ;o)

I took Evie to the toilet again and again she had a drip come out.

About 5 minutes later I noticed that Evies leggings were soaked where the leak had come to its conclusion!

So I rushed Evie out and got her changing bag and took her back into Mothercare to get her cleaned up.

Because it was all watery it wasnt too bad but the leggings and knickers were too mucky to save :o(.

We put Evie in a nappy when we got home and she had a soft poop but other than that she was ok and kept down her dinner too.

Evie was supposed to go to pre school on Friday but we kept her off so she didnt pass on her bug to anyone else.

We went to Lakeside instead ;o)

They had massive decorated birdhouses there

We hired a car for Evie ;o)

She was supposed to go to her swimming lesson on Saturday but that got cancelled due to an "incident" in the pool!

more knickers

For the last few days Evie has been so busy playing (both at home and at pre school) that she has forgotten to say when she needs to go to the toilet!

As some of her accidents have been messier than others we have had to throw away probably another 5 pairs.

So this morning while shopping we have bought her some more pairs.

Yesterday and today

Yesterday Evie was watching TV after having her breakfast (her current favourite is chocolate spread on toast) I kept on asking her if she wanted to go to the toilet and she kept on saying "no thank you".
When we went up to get changed I noticed a bulge in her knickers - she had done a poop, as her knickers weren't too bad I washed them out.

Then we went into town and I tried a new drink in Starbucks a ;o). As we were about to leave I asked Evie if she wanted the toilet and she said " no thank you" so I said that as we had a long walk home I wanted her to try, so no sooner had I sat her down she did another poop I tried to get her to carry on sitting down to see if she wanted to do anymore but she was wriggling about too much, so I cleaned her up and we went home.

Every time I passed a toilet I would ask her if she wanted the toilet and she would say "no thank you" and she then fell asleep.

We got home and she stayed asleep and when she woke up I noticed that she had done a wee and when I got her up I saw some poop on her seat first of all I thought that it was from where I hadn't cleaned her up properly but getting her to the toilet I saw that she had done another poop!

This morning Evie got up (in a grumbly mood) and I got her to sit in the toilet while I took off her pullup napoy and we were about to come downstairs and Evie said she wanted the toilet so I asked her if she wanted to do another wee and she said she wanted to do a poop and then did one ;o)

going to see the health visitor today

This afternoon we are going to see the health visitor.

The weigh in clinics are always in the afternoon (and out of the three that I can get to) this afternoons one is on a day when we dont have anything else on.

I have just got her red book out as I musnt forget that, and they are bound to weigh her and to ask about the potty training as I asked the about it in October last year.

I just hope that Evie does some stammering when we are talking to the health visitor.

not just my phone

Yesterday we had Tumble Tots, and the photographer was finally in ;o)

I always watch Evie going around in case she wants to go to the toilet or the ladies running it call me over if she has had an accident, about half way through I was looking at her bottom and I was sure that I could see that she was wet but she never came over to say that she had done a wee, and I was never called over either.

So after she had got her sticker she came over to me and I felt her bottom and she had definitely wet herself so we went into the baby change/disabled toilet and I changed her leggings and knickers and we set off home.

Evie fell asleep on our way back so I left her in the buggy, when she woke up I asked her if she needed the toilet and she said "no" and when I got her out of the buggy I noticed that the dry seat was wet!

So I took her upstairs and had to change her top, leggings and knickers, and later on the afternoon/evening I had to change her knickers another two times.

Inbetween the underwear changes I had done a factory reset on my phone (James told me it was the way to fix it) and Acer have since advised it too.  And yes the wifi is working again now ;o)

I never realised that the factory reset would work on Evie also ;o)

So I am now putting all of the apps back onto my phone ;o)

No 47 bus

After rushing to get ready and deciding which bus stop to go to on Tuesday morning, we finally left at around 9.15 am so we could catch the 9.33 bus, it normally takes me around 10 minutes to walk so I allowed an extra 5 minutes for Evie being a slow coach ;o)

Poor Evie tripped over on the footbridge getting to the bus stop so I gave her a quick cuddle so that we could get to the bus stop on time.

grazed knee

We got to the bus stop and I checked my phone and it was 9.31 so providing the bus wasnt early we were there in time ;o)

Every car or van that went by Evie was asking if that was the bus so I told her that we were waiting for the No 47 bus.

After a couple of minutes it turned up and I asked for an adult return to Broomfield Hospital it was £4.00.

return bus ticket

We found a seat on the bus and sat down and I cleaned Evies knee for her, I then asked her if she wanted to sit on my lap (so that she could see out of the window) but she said no and wanted to sit on the seat.

sitting on the seat like a big girl

The journey took half an hour.

We got to the hospital and I made a mental note of the bus stop that we got off at.

We then went into the hospital and I asked Evie if she needed the toilet and she said no.

We then went to get her new glasses and the man was seeing someone else so we waited outside and Evie kept on asking if we could go in yet.

It was then our turn and just as we were about to leave a girl and her Mum from our swimming class was waiting to see the man too ;o)

I asked Evie again after we came out if she wanted the toilet and she said no again.

And then we went to get a drink

We had been sitting down with our drinks for about 5 minutes when Evie said that she needed the toilet so I took my handbag and her toilet seat with us and we went to the loo.

We got back to our seat and a few minutes later Evie said that she wanted to go to the toilet again so I asked her if she was pretending and she said that she really wanted to go so off we went to the toilet again and I sat her on the toilet and she said that she couldnt go so I asked her if she was pretending and this time she said that she was!

After I had finished my latte and Evies hot chocolate (she only had a mouthful of it) we went to the loo (or rather I did).

We went to the bus stops to get our bus home I was checking all of the bus stops to see which stop our one was going from and it was the very end one.  Luckily there was a bus there waiting, the driver let us on while she popped out for a sneaky fag before leaving.

waiting for the bus to leave with the driver having a sneaky fag

The bus then left and we did our journey home.

Poor Evie was tired and fell asleep on the bus so I woke her up just before our stop and we walked (with me carrying her for a bit) home.

I asked her after if she liked the bus and she said yes and then I asked her if she wanted to go on the bus again ad she said no "it was too far" ;o)

Yesterday the 3 Foot People Festival tickets went on sale, so I bought our tickets yesterday ;o)  I looked at the website this morning and Thursday is almost sold out already!

Yesterday when I picked up from pre school the supervisor asked me if Evie does her poops in the toilet /potty or if she does them in her nappy?  I said that she does them in the toilet if we can get her there in time (but the last time she half did it in her knickers and the other half in the toilet).   She then told me that Evie did a poop in her knickers and when she asked her about it she said that she does them in her nappy!

We have now bought Evie another 10 pack of knickers as we seem to be getting through them ;o)

James birthday

When I asked James what he wanted for his birthday he said that he didnt want anything...

...so when we were in town (we had to pick up his giant cookie) I decided to buy him a lego minifigure.

chosen by Evie

He opened it up with Evie after dinner and he got the bandit ;o)  Or as Evie calls him the cowboy ;o)

bandit without his gun
we found his gun in the hoover!

When I was buying the giant cookie I was asked if I wanted to enter their free "name the cookie monster" competition - it was an A4 sheet with a list of names and you wrote your name/number by the side of the name you wanted.

There were only 3 names left - so I chose one (but as I was holding Evie - James had gone off and if I put her down she would have wandered off) I started writing my name by a free space - not the one I was going to go for as I realised when the lady straightened the piece of curled up paper for me.

Anyway yesterday afternoon I got a phone call saying that I had won the competition and my prize was either a giant cookie or a box of 24 ;o)

So I have chosen another giant cookie which I shall get for my birthday in May ;o)

As the weather is getting nicer I have had to buy some more t-shirts and shorts to put in Evies changing and pre school bags (incidentally she had two accidents there yesterday a wee one and a poopy one)

undressed and dressed

Yesterday morning I was in the bathroom before having a shower and in waddled Evie with her pull-up nappy and her pajama bottoms around her ankles ;o)

So I quickly finished and let Evie use the toilet.

When I got her dressed I kind of managed to get her to take her pajama top off.

So last night after dinner I decided to try and get her to undress and then dress herself...

...first I got her to get hold of the arm of her Tumble Tots t-shirt and she pulled her arms through and pulled it over her head.

Then came her long sleeved top and she managed to get that off.

Then was her trousers I had to help her slightly with those because they are skinny ones (but she got them off albeit inside out) ;o)

Then came getting her pajamas on...

She had a bit of trouble pulling it over her head (because she is still in her age 2-3 things) and I held out her sleeves for her so she could get her arms through easier ;o)

Then she pulled on her bottoms ;o)

So that was a really good result and Evie had a huge smile on her face ;o)

Talking of Tumble Tots I tried to get Evie to use the toilet before it started but she couldnt go, so before it started I told her to let me know if she needed to go.

Because it is the last week before Easter they had a circuit to go around rather than individual stations and Evie kept on running over to where I was sitting so I would ask her if she needed to go and she would say "no" ;o)

Then at the end after she got her sticker she told me that she needed to go so that was good too ;o)
