despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

Couldve been
Better or worse.
I weighed myself this morning (I was hoping to do it before I ate my breakfast) but couldn't get to the weighing machine.
When we do our food shopping I will make sure that I don't buy any yummy bits that I usually snack on.
It's hard to lose weight, not snacking is a good start.
I try to stay a steady weight although I am overweight. I can't stand to get any bigger than I am already, so cut down when the weight creeps up. When I think back to my weight of working days to what I have piled on since I retired, I want to cry :(

I don't think I'm going to weigh in until I resume after my holidays.
Eileen - not being busy with work is a real "killer" when it comes to diet.
Kirt - good idea (a holiday isnt a holiday unless there is weight gain) :)
