The trousers that I am wearing today should have 2 buttons to do them up...
...a few months ago one of the buttons came off (I think that I put it in my handbag somewhere - but I am not entirely sure), this morning the other button came off - it came off just after I went to the toilet!
I am completely useless at sewing buttons back on so will get James to do that for me tonight ;o)

That's normally what you need a man around the house for. We're supposed to be for putting up shelves and disposing of spiders, that sort of thing!
Of course I meant "not normally" in the previous comment, there was just a communication failure between brain and fingers.
It always hurts my fingers to sew on a button. The material is so thick that the needle pushes into my skin. Thimbles fall off my fingers.
Kelly - they did - although it was "touch & go" walking back to the train station!
Al - I get the same thing - I would love my pc to know what I am wanting to say - minus the spelling mistooks ;o)
Connie - thats another reason for getting James to do it ;o)
