despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

dbs check check
So I will take it in on Wednesday morning, I wont take it in on Tuesday as she has her Gym Trail and I dont want to hang around for the school office to open.
I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost another 4lbs so that is 47lbs or 3 stone 5lbs. I only have 9lbs left to go
I knew that I had done reasonably well even before I weighed myself as one of my pairs of jeans (without belt loops) was getting really loose :)

she didnt sink
When I picked her up after school I asked her if she sank and she said that she didnt (so that was good).
One of the parents (that I am friendly with) told me that that morning they had to put the swimming bags in the right box outside the classroom ready for their lesson.
So I quickly scanned the names on the boxes and saw that Evie was in the middle class (she is a beaver), so I took her bag and her dried stuff is now in the washing machine waiting to be washed.
I had my DBS check done yesterday and it should take a week to get my certificate, and then I can help out.
It wont do my CV any harm either saying that I helped with her swimming lessons :)

swimming stuff all ready
Actually her classes will be on Tuesdays, but as she has Gym Trail on Tuesdays, I will take in her swimming bag today.
As there will be a wet towel and swimming costume involved Im not sure if she will bring home her swimming bag each week after her lesson.
I had to by Evie a swimming cap, swimsuit and some shoes to wear around the pool - I got her some princess crrocs :) and everything has to labelled up too...
Im having my DBS check tomorrow so I wont be helping with tomorrows lessons

too part and not enough time
Last week I saw that they were after people in another coffee shop, so I asked the manager yesterday about the job, and the hours that I would be happy to do arent do-able :(
I was even happy to do from 4.30 pm to close (potentially missing Evies bed time).
I saw that another coffee shop (same chain) was after someone so I handed my CV in to them also,

too early for a token
So have already found the perfect time to leave :)
As usual at the beginning of the week we look out for the 3PR tokens being given out, she normally sees them before me :)
We were too early for them giving out the tokens yesterday morning so that was a shame.
When I picked her up yesterday I asked her what she did at the Gym Trail and she said "lots of things" so I asked her "like what" and she said that she had to walk over a rope ladder and "walked with my hands" so I asked her if her feet were on the floor or in the air and she said "in the air" :)
This is the first time that she has ever given me a description of something that she has done.
Her school swimming lessons start next week, and as they are looking for helpers I asked her teacher if they still needed anyone for her class, he said that he will let me know today.

Gym Trail
Her club is on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
I have to get her to school by 8.30 (25 mins before they normally open the reception class doors).
Hopefully I can get her there on time :)
I have left her upstairs to get herself dressed...

Dreamhunting
I suppose it was going to happen soon but my job hunting is now effecting my dreams....
...last night I had a dream that I was at an interview with Fox network to do with a program (I can't remember which one) and one of the interviewers asked me what I thought of the show and I had to admit that I hadn't watched the show!
Someone told me (can't remember who) that I shouldn't have said that, I said that I thought that it was better to be honest than lie my way through.
I know that I would have prepared myself better for the interview in real life :)
I think I will have to check out the careers for fox network here in the UK as that could be what my sub conscious was telling me to do.
Yes that is what I'm taking from that dream :)

relieved
Last year there were two shows on consecutive Mondays one for the toddlers and one for the school age children.
This years there are four shows (two on Monday and two on Tuesday) but the children have to do their show on both days! Theres an afternoon show for the smaller children and an evening show for the bigger children/adults.
And on both days they have to stay all day too!
So yesterday I asked Evie in an upbeat voice (as I didnt want to put her off if she did want to do it again) and she said that she didnt want to do it.
I just showed her the photo of her dressed like a bumble bee last year and she said that she still doesnt want to do it.
My friend whose daughter is the same age as Evie is hoping that her daughter wont want to do it either.
Im glad that she did one year anyway and she hopefully will want to do it again when she is a bit older if she is still enjoying doing her dancing.

coffee-view
I think it went well.
I was asked what I thought the barista job entailed and I told her all of the things that I see them doing everytime I go in...
...clearing tables, taking food to customers, replenishing sweeteners/napkins etc.
Hopefully I can be flexible enough on the shifts.
I will find out on Monday so fingers crossed :)
And I go a free skinny latte (in a take-out cup) out of it too :)

Interview #5 tomorrow
I got a text message this morning from a coffee chain saying that if I was still interested in a job then to call about attending an interview.
Their first suggested date was tomorrow and their other suggestions were at times that would conflict with collecting evie from school.
So as James is off tomorrow I opted for then and then we can do something after.

a weighing break
And the fact that I have 2 easter eggs (to get through)
A marmite egg and a chokablok egg
I will not weigh myself again until the end of April :)
I am still being good though and am keeping the food diary going :)

Poppy should have been a smurf
Evie loved the film and didnt even "need" to go to the toilet, so in that respect it was a success :)
I personally preferred Trolls.
When I asked her what her favourite part of the film was she kept on saying "it was when Poppy..." Poppy is a Troll and not a Smurf :)
We saw James after and he said that he would like to go to the cinema with us next time, but he is bound to change his mind.

Easter holiday jobs done

the Easter holidays
...we have a few things planned... :)
On Monday were getting Evies hair cut and getting her feet measured (not both at the same time).
And one day in the week (not sure which day yet) Im going to take Evie to the cinema - she wants to watch The Smurfs Film.
We have already prewarned her that there is bound to be a scary bit in the middle but it will have a happy ending (hopefully :)).
