the radiators are hot upstairs but cold downstairs...

Those of you who have just read this post (an update for you).

I went to the toilet and touched the radiator and it was warm, I tried the ones in our bedroom and they were warm too...

...yet the ones down stairs are still as cold as anything...

...I guess that I prefer the ones in the bedroom to be warm as there is nothing worse than sleeping in the cold!

Nothing worse than getting out of bed in the morning and into a freezing cold room either. That's the one thing I hate about winter, especially when you're routinely getting up at 5:30am like I do.

Have you tried bleeding the downstairs radiators? The system obviously works to some extent so that might be enough to get at least some heat from them.

Kelly - the heat upstairs is just when the boiler is "on" - so the heat didnt last for long...

...damn the efficient water boiler ;o)

Al - there is no heat going to the radiators - the heat upstairs was simply because the water boiler was "on" - James did try bleeding the radiators anyway...

Ah well, some heat is better than no heat though, right?
