On one of the coldest days we had a power cut.
Evie enjoyed using a lantern but was not impressed with the lights and more importantly the tv not working.
It is all working now although the fusebox has tripped a couple of times already and our sky+ box is throwing a hissyfit!
I will get Evie to check the lights when she gets home from school :)

I sympathise. We've been without heat and hot water for five days now and probably for a few more yet, but at least we've got TV. X😆
I hope your power outage didn't last for too long and it all settles back to normal soon. I always worry about the food in the freezer but the electric would have to be off a long time before the food defrosts.
Poor Jules, I do feel sorry for her without heat and hot water :(

Eileen - we had another couple of power cuts but its all been fixed now (hopefully)
