despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

a new trick
He had already unlocked the rooms that I needed and all I had to do was switch everything on.
The group then turned up...
...the children went into their room and the adults went into the theatre...
...a while later the organiser lady/ringleaders Mum came over to us to say that all of the chairs in the childrens room were wet and had we washed the chairs?
Knowing what the kids are like we went in there to see what had happened...
...indeed all of the chairs were wet (knowing that they were dry when I first went in the room) I had a look at the ceiling to make sure that there were no obvious wet marks where there may have been a water leak from upstairs and there hadnt.
She then said that it cant be that one of the kids had wet themselves as all of the seats were wet.
My boss then said to her that the kids had taken the drip tray from the watercooler and emptied it onto the chairs and looking at the watercooler the drip tray was full to the brim.
The Mum then asked her kids if either of them had done it and the youngest owned up and he apologised to my boss as I was sorting out the room for the next day.
I will have to see if they do it again next week...
Evie actually told me today that she had missed me so that was nice (mormally she says that she didnt) :)

rabkey
...I did some filing, this time it was what animals they are on the inside and outside :)
Evie said that she was a rabbit on the outside, because she likes to hop a lot (later on she said that she also likes carrots too which is another reason for being a rabbit), and on the inside she is a monkey because she likes to eat bananas and climb trees :) she eats bananas very occasionally but doesnt climb trees!
I also read with a couple of kids and stuck in some work in their maths books.
I also was tidying up the books that they have to bring home with them :)
So it was another good morning :)

to q or not to q too
The guy I spoke to looked at our account and the upshot was that it hadnt been sent. A supervisor was supposed to authorise payment going onto our account (the system wasnt working properly) but it never got authorised and I wasnt told despite a note on there saying to let me know it it didnt go through.
After me saying that I wasnt happy I was then put through to another team to see what they could do for me.
The new bloke said that they could do me a Q box for £20 (without the multiscreen subscription) and and would I be interested, so I double checked that it wouldnt cost us anything extra and he said that it wouldnt, so I said yes and he even said that they might me able to do something about our monthly subscription too. They have reduced it down for 18 months :)
I did ask if I was getting this deal because I complained and the bloke told me that the cancellation team (whoa I didnt use the word cancel) can offer better prices for customers. I dont like the idea of threatening to cancel just to get a better deal and as I didnt actually say I wanted to cancel but I did say that I wasnt happy I got a good deal anyway.
I just have to wait another month now for the Q box to be fitted :)

...I then saw the cheap reduced bakery items and looking for something that Evie might like too I saw some blueberry muffins :)

maths and reading
Before Miss B had even taken the register S was sick so she had to be taken to the school office with all of her stuff so her Mum could come and pick her up.
I had to file away some bits of work from Tuesday - it was special church items - I had a look at Evies one again and she drew a cross, a crucifix, a bible and a candle.
I also did some reading with 2 of the children I was supposed to do 3 but didnt have time in the end.
Then after playtime it was maths, and while the children were sitting on the floor with their whiteboards (writing down the answers) I was sharpening pencils, amd I glued some worksheets into some of the maths books.
Then the kids had to do their worksheets and I was asked to help S do her one, so we went through the sums together to work out the answers.
It was then time for me to go home, Evie got upset saying that she would miss me.
I told her to think of something funny that I do and that cheered her up so that was good.

Another thing to practice
Yesterday when i picked evie up from school, her teacher told me that evie was doing something on the computer and said that she was having trouble as she didnt know where the letters on the keys were. We should practice at home, so i askes her if there were any websites she vould recommend and sge said that all of the websires were on the year 1 page on jer schools website.
So after we had done reading and writing we then switched on the laptop, there was only one non maths website on the page and it needed a newer version of adobe flash and james didnt want me downloading it.
So i did a search for year 1 wordgames and we found one game that evie enjoyed where you have to join words together.
Its funny about evie not knowimg where the letters are as she can send text mwssages on both mine and james phones and they both have qwerty keyboards.
Perhaps i should get her to practice sending text messages too.
So.that will be reading, writing, laptop and texting :)

what to watch
I have been making sure I watch (on the day it is shown) The Biggest Loser Australia, and Coronation Street, and Dancing On Ice.
I will make sure I watch NCIS and Bull too.
Thinking about it I will delete (because of all of the backstabbing (and its not as good (in my opinion)) as the original concept Coach Trip: Road to Tenerife.
I have a few other things in there as well.
Most of the programmes are Evies so we have told her that when we get the new box she wont be able to watch them until we download or record them again.
LOL I think the backlash from it when it happens will be heard by Eileen and Kirt and Jules :)

to q or not to q
...in an attempt to save money I have been putting off the inevitable and either upgrade or get a new sky+HD box...
Yesterday I thought our box had finally given up the ghost as it wasnt letting us watch anything recorded or get on demand to download programmes (it was at least letting us watch live tv so that kept Evie happy).
So I rang sky and the message said to download the my sky app, I then was put through to someone and I explained the issue and I was told that because I am a diamond customer (I have been with them for 18+ years we are entitled to a new Sky Q box, I had already looked at the price and saw that it was £199 (even without the multiscreen package) and that was too much for us, so I was really pleased, he told me that I should download the app and book it through there.
So I went into the app but it still had the £199 one off payment, so I did the chat thing with them and after several hours (I kid you not) they finally told me that the deal was only if you had the multiscreen package!
As we dont need that I then called sky again to get us sorted.
I called again and was given the various options....
....I can either pay £65 and have an engineer come to try and repair the box or £30 and they send us a brand new box.
I have opted for the brand new box being sent in the post, and we have to fit it (the guy told me you just have to plug it in).
Im hoping that James will do it when he gets home from work :)
We have since unplugged the sky box for at least 5 minutes plugged it back in again and we can now watch recorded programmes and download programmes, so hopefully it will hold out until the box arrives next week

trees and favourite things
After watching her walk across the playground to her classroom I went to the school office to sign in and collect my "visitor" badge.
I then went to the classroom.
The first thing I did was check that the kids whose day it was to change books had read their books twice (and most of them had).
I then had to file away some work that the kids had written about their favourite things...
...when I got to Evies I read hers and she said "I have a bunee and a tin and if I lost them I would be sad", I asked her after if anyone helped her with her writing and she said that she did it all by herself :)
The kids then had to write a story about The Lighthouse Keepers Catastrophe and when they had done an acceptable amount they could them come over to where I was sitting...
...I had to help them draw a silhouette of half a tree with branches (on black paper with a white pencil) and then help them cut it out.
After morning break time the kids did number bonds and the kids who had finished their maths could then do their tree.
In total I ended up doing that with 6 kids (Evie said that she had done her one in the afternoon without branches) one kid Z cut off his branches and when I asked him if he wanted to do it again he said no and as it was close to lunchtime I didnt push it.
Evie was a bit upset after morning break and when I was leaving and she said that it was because she missed James.
Evie even got a hug from a
I kissed Evie goodbye signed out and then headed home.
when I picked her up at home time she said that she liked me being there and I dont have to wear my pretend invisible bag next time so thats good :)
I had a really good time adn am looking forward to doing it again next week :)

pretend invisible bag
She doesnt want me to help out, se just wants me to go home after I have dropped her off!
So I told her that I have to go in as I have made a promise to Miss B...
...as she was crying at this point and saying that she didnt want to see me in class, I asked her if it would be ok for me to come in if I wore a pretend invisible bag over my head :)
That sold it, and she likes the idea :) but she wants me to use pretend invisible cardboard
I have told her that you shouldnt really put bags over your head.
