3PR

Essex Schools are having an initiative called 3PR to make the roads safer around the schools (Im not sure if its just primary schools or includes secondary schools too).

Yesterday there were 2 marshalls (a year 6 girl and her Mum) handing out tokens (on the stretch of road that they dont want parents to park on),

There were another 2 marshalls on the other end too.

Both sets of marshalls were handing out tokens to the kids who were walking/cycling/scootering to put in to the box in their classrooms.

At the end of each month the class with the most tokens wins the cup (Im not sure if they get a prize too or if it is just the prestige of winning).

I took a photo of Evies token yesterday in my hand :) Evie wouldnt hold it for me!

The kids were playing superheroes yesterday while waiting to go in their class and they were saying that the tokens had super powers :)

What a good idea. Gets the kids involved too with the tokens.

Parents parking near schools are so selfish.

Kirt - one Mum said that she saw someone parking in the "no parking" zone and then walked back with their kid to get their token anyway!
