trying to aggravate me

You will recall from here that Tesco decided that despite me having a voucher for a free bottle of glaceau water that they were going to charge me 19 pence!

Well guess what? In todays Metro there is another voucher, and I have read through the voucher and it DOESNT state a value!

So the question is do I go in there and kick up an almighty stink when (and if) they try to charge me again?

I guess it would just depend on my mood at the time...

It will be interesting, though, because what if they DONT charge you...then what was the deal the first time around?

Well, if it's the same voucher as someone used this morning with me then it doesn't even scan through the till! (It was the same product but haven't a clue if it was from the Metro or not). The till just complains that the minimum spend requirement hasn't been met (i.e. it doesn't know what the coupon is for/it's a Tesco coupon and the customer hasn't purchased the item).

Fortunately, having a higher login number than most cashiers means I have access to all sorts of otherwise forbidden stuff so I just put it through as non-scanned for the full value. Would have been interesting to see what it would have scanned as had it actually worked.

I'd have gone in and bought one just to see if they tried to charge you anything. Of course though, once the coupon has been used in self-serve they've got you because you can't ask to see it again to double check the details. It would be easy enough to retrieve it but they're unlikely to open the whole thing up just because you want a look!

Al - I forgot to bring the voucher with me to try...

Do you have a supervisor level login?

Indeed I do. Bow down before my power!

Or not, whatever. :-)
