The pc had such a good time toxing last year that it wants to do it again ;o)
Will catch up again in a week or so ;o)
despite being a chocoholic I have managed to lose 4 and a half stone in 12 months. This is my diary of the highs and lows of trying to keep the weight off (or at least under reasonable control).

it was complete with a guitar playing vicar
This weeks Project Flickr is graveyards, so I had 2 nearby options, either go into town and do the graveyard in Chelmsford Cathedral or All Saints Church (hee hee it even has Sunday services that you can download! BTW I will not be downloading them ;o)) which is very nearby.
As I didnt fancy going into town we (or rather I) walked and Evie sat in the buggy ;o)
When we got there there was a banner outside advertising their Summer Special, so I had a walk around the graveyard deciding what would make a good photo when an old lady came out and asked if I was "lost" so I told her no and that I as just having a look around.
She then told me about the "summer special" and how it was on at the moment if we wanted to go in, I thought to myself why not, Evie will enjoy herself...
...there was a horseshoe of tables and we went to the first one which was "treasure box "decorating ;o)
there was also "coloured sand" to make patterns on paper (we didnt get time to do that).
We also didnt get time to do a bag for Evie either, but we did do a fan ;o)
It then ended with singing songs...
...my god is big (which I didnt know) and hes got the whole world in his hands which I only knew the chorus to.
And then there were prayers.
It reminded me back to when I was 17 and me and my friend Emma got talked into by another friend going to the Pentecostal Church Youth group and we both said that if they start praying we are getting out of there...
...of course they did start praying but we couldnt really sneak out ;o) and our friend said after that it wasnt normally "that bad" still, we didnt go back again ;o)

smoking hot power adaptor
This morning just as James was leaving for work he told me that the rocker switch on the power adaptor for the laptop was broken so he had unplugged it.
So remembering this I plugged it back in and turned on the laptop and then I heard a crackling noise and smoke was coming out of the back of the power adaptor so I switched it off (after it had stopped crackling as I didnt want an electric shock!).
I texted James and told him and now he is hassling me to check ratings and stuff!

14 days to upload
Almost three weeks ago I did a video motion picture of Evie in the back garden using my smartphone.
I uploaded it using the flickr app, then it stopped uploading it two weeks ago when I uploaded a photo for project flickr so I started uploading it again and it finally uploaded yesterday ;o)
All in all it took two weeks to upload!
and here is her toy buggy full of stones ;o)

We have a shoot
I have been watering the plant that Evie did when we went to Hyde Hall on Friday...
...James was saying only the other day that he didnt think that it would grow because it was too wet!
Well this morning I saw a shoot in the plant pot ;o)
Evie was more interested in watching Mr Blooms Nursery than posing for a photo ;o)

Wolverhampton?
Yesterday I was looking at the built in news & weather app on my phone and saw that for my location it said Wolverhampton!
And when I looked (much later) on at the BBC weather app that said that I was in Wolverhampton too - I wouldnt mind but I havent been out of Essex for ages.
On Friday me & Evie went to Hyde Hall with some of the other Mums.
We had a fantastic time...
Evie (well I made the plant pot out of newspaper) but Evie put the soil in and the lady put some coriander seeds in and Evie put the soil on the top and happily carried t around with her until she ate her lunch ;o)
She had her lunch and was then playing in the tree house there ;o)
We then looked around the craft fair there and I bought a few things
The first thing I bought was a snail from Wood Like to Play
then I bought some passion fruit curd from the Victorian Kitchen
and finally I bought Evie a little bag ;o)

posh kettle
Yesterday we took our old kettle back.
While I was looking at clothes (they have 25% off all clothing and accessories until Monday) James decided to look at the kettles, and he came back with a posh one!
Hee hee I have just made myself a cup of green tea with it and it was nice to have a fast boiling kettle again ;o)
As Evie now likes to help, I have utilised her eagerness and she now puts the spare toilet rolls onto the stack of them in the bathroom for us ;o)
She has done this twice for me now...
...the first time she was trying to undo the toilet roll first, but she carried on putting them on for me, and yesterday the stack was down to two so I let her put some more on for me, she had a huge smile on her face ;o)

broken kettle
Yesterday evening I was boiling our kettle...
..the light came on but the kettle wouldnt boil!
James said to empty it and he would try it later (I think that he thought I wasnt doing it properly!) and it wouldnt boil for him either.
So I have dug out the receipt as we had only bought it in February and we will take it back when we next go which will probably be tomorrow.
So I have just set up the travel kettle that we bought a few weeks ago, it is only half the size of a normal one but will do in the meantime ;o)
A word to the wise microwaving water to make it hot enough doesnt make a decent cup of tea!

He should sell this calendar
I was just looking on the Yahoo homepage and saw this hilarious calendar ;o)
He really should see about selling copies of it and have the last laugh with his friends!

Witches Kitchen giggles
For a while now I have been getting books out from the library to read with Evie...
...we tend to read them when she goes to bed ;o)
Last night we were reading Whats in the Witches Kitchen and Evie was in fits of giggles...
...each page has a flap on it and depending on witch way you open it you get either something nice or horrible ;o)
We were worried that she would be too hyped up to sleep after reading this book but she fell asleep anyway ;o)
I have even ordered this book from Amazon as she enjoyed it so much ;o)

Springer the Grasshopper
When I bought the wool to knit my scarf I also bought some Mister Maker kits to do with Evie.
On Friday we decided to do the Grasshopper one.
Evie has since pulled the eyes off of poor Springer ;o)
Whilst trying to get my scarf ready for measuring I inadvertently pulled some of the stitches off of the needle (oh well at least it will add to the character of it ;o))
it now measures 132 centimeters ;o)

plums
Yesterday afternoon James came home from work clutching a bag of plums.
So I asked him where did the plums come from and he said that a woman he works with has a plum tree and they would go to waste otherwise and she wondered if Evie would like them' ;o)
So last night after I had my dinner (Evie had already had hers) I got a bowl and cut in half six plums ;o)
And here is Evie eating some plum
I think that she just took a bite before not wanting anymore
But I ate them and they were really nice ;o)

squares and triangles
A couple of weeks ago I decided to try Evie on sandwiches again ;o)
I had a pasta salad on standby too but she ate the jam sandwich that I had made her.
She has since decided that chocolate spread sandwiches are her favourite and every time I ask her what she would like in her sandwich she says "chocolate spread" ;o) I am happy that she wants to eat sandwiches but James has been going on and on that she should be eating different fillings!
So yesterday when I did her lunch I did one chocolate spread sandwich (cut into squares) and a jam sandwich (cut into triangles) I told her the fillings that were in them and she went straight for the chocolate spread ones.
I even told her that the jam sandwich was the jam that Daddy had last night (that Evie was eating some of and enjoying) but she still wouldnt eat it, so I then said that her toy monkey wanted to eat some jam sandwich and he told her that it was delicious so Evie took a bite and then wouldnt eat anymore.
So I ended up doing another slice of bread with chocolate spread on which she wolfed down ;o)

running out of memory
Not me but my smartphone :o(
The internal memory on my phone is only 174MB I also have an 8GB memory card in there also.
There are some apps on my phone mainly flickr it is taking up 24.23MB (which is roughly 15% of my memory) which is on the phone memory and I cannot put it onto my memory card :o(.
I went into the Three shop yesterday to see if there was a "magic button" that I didnt know about to get more of the apps onto my memory card, all the guy could suggest was to upgrade my phone to a better one with more internal memory!
So he took my details and looked to see how much I would have to pay to end my contract early - I still have seven months left - so he looked and it would cost me £84! and that it would be discounted (I worked out that the discount was only £7 over the rest of the contract) I told the bloke that I didnt want to do that. He then kept on and on about how the amount was not just plucked out of thin air - so I told him that I am not not thick and that I understand that it is what is owed for the remainder of the contract.
He told me about this phone and it has 4GB of of internal memory so would be "big" enough for my current needs, I would end up pay £20 per month (I currently pay £13 per month).
I was really hoping that they would agree to write off the "upgrade fee" but they wouldnt - their only suggestion was to see what CEX would pay me for the phone and to offset it towards the upgrade fee. I didnt want to do that either.
So I have taken the updates off of loads of things on my phone apart from maps and street view and I now have 31MB free.
If Three ring me up (which they tend to to every now and again) I will see if they will agree to waive the fee.

wahay
James mentioned a few weeks ago that what was an old bank was to become a Jamies Italian ;o)
We had a really nice meal in there when we went to Bath for our holiday last year ;o)
As me & Evie ended up going up to the end of the High Street on Friday I saw the huge "Jamie is coming home to Essex" sign ;o) So it looks like it really is set to open - but dont know when yet ;o)
Hee hee my scarf is now so long (it is 106 centimeters) that I have had to fold it in half to take a photo of it ;o)

chinese textbook
A while ago now I got a flickr mail asking if it was ok to use this photo, I said that it was ok but could I have the name of it once published so that I could purchase a copy.
I was told that it would only be available to buy in Taiwan but if I gave her my name and address then she would send me a copy ;o)

can you guess what Evie was eating
I was eating a fruit packet with Evie yesterday...
...she was having bites of my fruit then putting it back into the punnet, running off and then running back doing the same thing again ;o)
I looked up and saw the mess around her mouth and thought to myself "great photo opportunity" ;o)
And she was more than willing to pose for me too ;o)

tepee love
On Wednesday James popped into Aldi and bought a tepee/tunnel/tent combo for Evie ;o).
I put it up for her yesterday
and here she is sitting in the tepee ;o)
In fact she loved it so much that she started crying when I went to take it down so that we could go in for lunch!
I even ended up taking the tepee down with her still sitting in it ;o)
