The other day I got some vouchers for Marks and Spencer one of them was a £5.00 voucher just for having a M&S credit card...
...I looked at the date and thought that it said that it was valid only for 29th June...
...so I waited until yesterday to use it...
...it actually said that it was valid until 29th June ;o)
So I went upto the underwear section and bought 5 pairs of their value knickers for £6.50 (the offer was 4 pairs for £5 but you had to use your card to get the voucher off).

Evie is coughing too
Ok so I dont feel so bad now as Evie was coughing as I was changing her nappy...
...we must have both picked it up at the same time!

I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat :o(
I feel really bad because yesterday I was giving Evie some scrambled egg off of my fork, so she is bound to get it in a few days too.
On the plus side she loved the scrambled egg and was eating bits of hash brown too and totally dismissed the porridge that I had bought for her ;o)
We met up with my Mum yesterday and we went to a Toby Carvery and had their all you can eat breakfast.

feeding Evie Jelly
Yesterday I was feeding Evie some strawberry jelly...
..first she was sitting on my lap and had a couple of mouthfuls and then the call of Blues Clues became too much for her so she got off so that she could stand by the tv to watch it ;o)
So I kneeled up next to her and managed to spoon another couple of spoonfuls....
...then she sat down so I sat next to her and carried on giving her another couple of spoonfuls...
...then she stood up again I managed to give her another couple of spoonfuls and then our momentum was interrupted by a marketing call and Evie wouldnt have anymore after!
Still she did have half a potful ;o)

the wrong type of sausage
We have been buying Evie tins of heinz mini meals for days when like yesterday (we were off to Gymbabes) when I dont have a little rice salad for her...
...yesterday I did Evie the bbq beans with mini sausages, I thought that she might not like the bbq sauce but she was eating the beans ok, then I cut one of the mini sausages in two, spooned it into her mouth and she she chewed it and then pulled it back out of her mouth.
I know that she likes sausages as a rule because she eats a sausage and mash kids meal that we buy for her.

First Evie went up the stairs and now she can come down backwards (hence the title ;o)).
I first noticed Evie doing this yesterday...
...I went upstairs to the toilet and asked Evie if she wanted to come up with me and she just stayed in the lounge watching television.
I had just finished and was about to come back downstairs and saw Evie was halfway up the stairs and as I started to come down she then started coming back down the stairs.
So this afternoon after changing Evies nappy I put her on the top stair and let her come all the way down by herself (with me standing behind her) and have told her that she can only do this if me or James are behind her (not that she generally takes any notice).

blueberries were no match
Because I sit on the sofa with my dinner on a tray on my lap it is in easy reach for Evie to grab something off of my plate ;o)
Last night she was trying to grab hold of my knife (which I ended up hiding under my plate) and so grabbed hold of the fork that I was trying to eat with instead.
So I ended up letting her help to guide the fork into my mouth ;o)
It was all going well until there was no food left on my plate...
...Evie started to cry with real tears...
...so James let her stir some of his special fried rice ready meal and she was happy again.
I was even eating blueberries whilst sitting next to Evie and was very loudly saying how yummy they were hoping that she would let us take the bowl of rice away but she was having none of it!

I got benefitted
we went into Debenhams yesterday to buy my friend a gift card for her birthday...
...I made sure that I remembered where the automatic doors were and retraced my route back.
We were just walking past the Benefit counter and a lady jumped out and asked if I wanted to try their foundation and I said "no thanks"...
...she then said that "it will only take a couple of minutes and that you really need it!"
I thought to myself "do I look that bad that I can really need foundation"
As I had time I gave in...
...she put on moisturiser, foundation and powder all extortionately priced I may add.
The lady is a Mum herself and kept on saying about how important it is to have some me time.
She asked me what I look for in my foundation and I told her that "I dont wear any" and she said to me "you will do after this!"
After she made me look "wonderful" she asked me "what would you like to purchase" and I said that "I would probably come back in another day to buy the stuff".
hee hee we met up with James and he didnt even notice the difference!

project flickr dreams
It is officially a "no news day" in my life as I had a dream last night about project flickr, this weeks theme is horizons...
...I was in a class somewhere on a upper floor fourth perhaps (I know that I was in a class because I couldnt just open the window and take the photo) and I was looking out of the window and saw a beautiful sunrise on the horizon and thought to myself once this class is over the moment will be gone :o(.

three spoons
If Evies food has large lumps in it then I chop it up with her spoon...
...Evie now copies me and chops at her food with a stabbing motion - whether it has any lumps in or not ;o)
I now also have to have three spoons when I am giving Evie her food...
...one for each of her hands and then one for me! Although the two that she are holding are never as good as the one that I am holding. She always grabs at the spoon that I am holding so there is always lots of swapping.
She is feeding herself more now also but not to the extend of the whole of anything if you get me meaning...
...still she is getting there ;o)

getting a book for Mummy to read
Me & Evie were at the library yesterday for their Rhyme Time session...
...I got there early enough to be able to get a seat and Evie was sitting on my lap and she decided to get off and sit on the floor, so I said to her "go and get a book for Mummy to read to you" so she crawled off towards the books.
The first one she tried to get she couldnt pull out (I was just about to get up to help her) and then she grabbed hold of the biggest book there.
She then proceeded to crawl back to me dragging the book with her...
...it was really funny watching her ;o)

eight month difference
Yesterday at Gymbabes the bloke was there to film dvds...
when he was there in October last year to do a Christmas one (Evie was sitting on a sleigh) and the background showed her going through forests to see the real Santa Claus. She was very still and didnt really do much.
This time it was going on a safari the background music was Were going to the zoo, Evie was really good and was waving and reaching for the bubbles that the man was blowing ;o)

feeding Mummy & Daddy
James has been encouraging Evie to feed him peanut crackers why it started I am not too sure ;o)
Yesterday I was giving Evie her lunch of fireburst wild rice salad (the fireburst part was the chili dressing that is in a separate tub - I made sure that there was no chili peppers in there and tasted it first too).
Anyway she didnt eat very much of it and I gave her her yoghurt and then decided to also open a little bag of chocolate chip cookie bites that I have in her bag for emergencies.
So I opened the bag with her sitting on my lap (I had given up on the highchair by then) and let her take out the cookies to eat she ate two and then started feeding them to me - I think she gave me about four of them and then finished the rest herself ;o)

disrespectful Mums
Me & Evie were at the library yesterday.
The session was being taken by two ladies who are reasonably quiet.
During one of the stories being read (there are two of them) there was some real loud chattering from the Mums at the back and one of the two taking the session told them that it was hard for everyone to hear...
...I think that they kept it down a little but but not nearly enough.
One of the other ladies who does the sessions is a lot more forceful and will say to them "if you dont mind ladies" she also made one woman who was talking quietly on her phone to go around to the other side ;o)

I hope she feels better today
Yesterday Evie woke up with another cold.
She even threw up some bread and pasta that James gave her while we were doing our grocery shopping.
And later on she threw up again after her dinner.
James gave her some chips to eat a bit later on and she managed to keep them down and she kept down her milk too.
Today we have Gymbabes and they have a person in doing a video today too, so I dont want her missing out on that.

dance sing & sign and giraffes
The dance class we went to on Friday was good, although it was aimed at older pre-schoolers as there was hoping and jumping involved as well as touch vaious parts (mainly heads, shoulder knees and toes) but not as in the song!
The lady running it told me that we could go to the sing and sign class after. The songs were done with makaton signing. I remember some of the signs so will make sure tht we do them with Evie ;o)
