brain fog

Last night I went into the kitchen to turn the oven on so it could be warming up before putting my dinner in.

James went into the kitchen 10 minutes later to put the stuff in the oven only to find that I hadnt turned it on!

LOL I had managed to put the empty bag from the spinach and the spring onions (or scallions to my mates across the pond) into the recycling, but didnt do the main thing that I went into the kitchen for ;o)

Sorry to laugh :)

It happens to me all the time. In my case they are senior moments. Martyn bought me some memory mints.... but I keep forgetting to take them :)

My favourite trick is to take something out of the oven and neglect to turn the thing off. This is slightly more concerning and less inconvenient than not turning it on in the first place.

It's kind of freeing to have a reason to be forgetful. Well, that and annoying. :)

I sometimes turn the flame down to low to keep my food warm when cooking and then I serve the food and find a while later that the flame is still on. I forget to turn it off sometimes.
